Fan-shaped forceps have four basic styles: 6.5 mm Tying Platforms, 10 mm Tip, and 80 MM Fine-Grooved Handle. They are designed to hold all types of tissue securely and firmly. The two-pronged claw design and the wide base of these forceps make them ideal for handling balance weights. The three-prong claw provides extra grasp power, and can be used to pick up small objects.

Ophthalmic forceps are the most commonly used type. These forceps are characterized by an arc-shaped tweezer arm with handles on the back ends. Their fans-shaped clamping sheets are non-piercing and have anti-slip veins. They can be used to hold eye organ tissues, or clamp objects. Surgical forceps for ophthalmology have simple structures and are convenient to use.

When using fan-shaped forceps for lenticule extraction, a surgeon should be familiar with the various surgical techniques. The use of forceps at specific positions is important to avoid damaging the lenticule. The Chung technique is an excellent example of this. It requires pushing and pulling at specific positions. This technique is recommended for patients with poor vision. In addition to its versatility, it is also safe and requires minimal recovery time.
